MET; Here's a true Army story for you.  I was given a direct order by my Mess Sargent to light a stove where I could see a flame by the on /off handle.  I refused his direct order saying there was going to be an explosion.  A different cook called me a "pussy" and went to light the stove.  He almost got his head blown off for his effort.  Later that night, I heard the other cook's friends giving him the business.  Here is a cleaned-up version of what they said.  "The college graduate white guy says the stove is going to blow and refuses a direct order.  You have to be a really dumb to stick your head in the oven."  Likewise, if Dennis chooses to name call me for no particular reason, then he must assume I am going to show his vulnerabilities.  One of my best friends since grammar school ended up taking his own life due to PTSD and Agent Orange.  I'm still pissed at myself for not realizing that he was keeping things to himself.  There is never a day I don't think about the 100's of guys I met and laughed with in the Army.  They even got me to ride a bike up and down Stone Mountain, Georgia.  They called me NEW YORK back then, because I was always flying standby to Newark or LaGuardia when I was off for the weekend.  They tried to pin an article 15 on me many times.  But they never succeeded.  Tried homemade moonshine that another soldier brought in once.  He laughed his head off when I told him he was out of his mind for drinking that crap.
