Nets going back to 2001 minus the Covid shortened season the Dodgers and Yankees each one the World Series once. You might have to look this up but I'm pretty sure the Blue Jays have a higher active 26 man roster then the Yankees do right now. Going back to 1995 only 48% of teams that won the World Series had a top 5 payroll. Those great Yankee teams of the mid 90's to early 2000's were not built by George buying mercenaries, actually they were built by George not being able to trade away what Stick Michael drafted for mercenaries. Jeter, Mariano, Posada, Bernie, Petite etc. Those were the best Yankees teams of the last 40 years and the majority of that core was grabbed in the draft, not with Georges checkbook. You want to say the Yanks bought the 09 championship, fair. But that group did not have half the success those Yankees teams of the mid 90's did. Money helps, but spending bad money after bad moneys gets you no where in the game of baseball. You want to say baseball is a bore, fair enough you are not alone. But you can have success in the game with not having to sign a top 5 free agent year after and year. Like I always say Nets I would not begin to tell you whats going on with the Chicago shows, Why? I dont watch them. I think you get the analogy.

I 'm pretty sure at least in college football for the 25-26 season the cap is 23 million for each program. All I can say I saw the money those Fab Five kids generated for Michigan back in the day and from what I heard and read they had to pull their money together to eat Taco Bell on a Friday Night. Then you wonder why when some hanger on slime ball offers Chris Webber a 100K and he takes it. No matter what my political affiliations are I really do believe in capitalism. If you are bringing in millions upon millions for the school you are playing for you at least deserve a living wage for food, clothes, etc. I think by do this you make them less susceptible to taking money from some slimeball sleazy wannabe "agent". I know a lot of people disagree with me on this issue and thats fine.  lol Nets I wonder what your opinion would be if you were averaging 20 points a game and the school was making millions selling merch off what you were doing on the court????
